RuckusRoots receives $10,100 through charitable giving program!
We are pleased to announce that RuckusRoots has received a generous grant from LUSH North America’s Charity Pot Program. This amazing cosmetics company donates thousands every year to grassroots organizations, and we are very grateful to have been selected as one of these. The funds will be used to purchase supplies, including several iPads, that will help us offer our Chimes for Change music program to underserved teens in Los Angeles this fall! Our partners for this upcoming program will be announced in the next newsletter. Until then, check out past Chimes for Change creations here.
Happy 2016, Everyone!
We’re thrilled to say that we ended 2015 with a bang, thanks to many of you who contributed to our crowdfunder. We are proud of the work we did in 2015 and can’t wait to build upon it in 2016.
Here’s what’s happening in upcoming months:
-Rewards for crowdfunder donors will be mailed ASAP. The custom T-shirts by Adrien Oneiga (pictured above) are in and will be shipped ASAP! Other rewards will go out this month too.
-Wild Art Sculpture build begins! Our first step is to weatherproof the metal paintings, and thanks to the fundraiser and recent consultations with experts, we can begin doing that in February. We are securing further funding to bring this sculpture to life. We will update you as soon as we know more!

We raised over $14,000!
Our crowdfunding campaign for Wild Art was a success, thanks to generous donations from people just like YOU! We were able to raise 70% of our goal of $20,000. Of course we were shooting for 100%, but we are very happy with what we were able to accomplish together, and can’t wait to apply what we learned to make our future campaigns even better!
The funds we raised will be used to complete our Wild Art sculpture, using 200 metal wildlife paintings by teens from Highland Park. We will keep you updated on our progress as things move forward.
If you donated to our campaign and selected a reward, we will get your gift out to you as soon as possible. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing time.
