Our community programs offer opportunities for all ages to connect with the arts in nature or outdoor settings.
GARDEN MAGIC
This program teaches various earth-friendly forms of artistic expression and creative climate-resilience in an outdoor, natural setting.
-
By bringing in local sustainable artists, students are given the opportunity to create art outside, using natural and repurposed materials, drawing connections between their artistic creations and the ecology that surrounds them.
-
Garden Magic serves 5-11 year olds in Sun Valley Los Angeles and Hawthorne, CA.
-
Students learn various arts skills like painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics as they relate to nature, native ecology and climate resilience. Applying these lessons in a natural outdoor setting draws deeper connections between artmaking and creativity to the natural world.

A.L.I.V.E MURALS
Our A.L.I.V.E (Art Living In Vibrant Environments) murals educate about local flora and fauna while teaching participants of all ages how to plan and paint a mural while engaging in a positive, public artmaking experience.
-
Through on-site murals designed to reflect native species and local biodiversity, we provide hands-on learning through the experience of collaborative artmaking and community beautification.
Additionally, we can provide not only custom mural design but tools for deeper learning such as customized lesson plans and workshops to accompany the painting activity.
-
From elementary-age homeschool groups to adult volunteers, our nature-inspired murals are adaptable for all ages and diverse settings from schools to corporate or community events.
-
Nature-inspired mural painting encourages participants to become both curious observers and empowered caretakers of nature. It also offers an opportunity to make artwork for their community to enjoy, while enjoying a fun, collaborative creative experience.
